We are looking for an experienced and motivated Wide Format Vinyl Printing Technician to operate and maintain our large-format printing equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with vinyl printing machines, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently. As a technician, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality prints that meet our clients' specifications.

Set up and Operate Equipment:

• Load, adjust, and calibrate vinyl printing machines (e.g., HP Latex, Roland, Mimaki, or similar wide-format printers) for optimal performance.
• Ensure consistent quality output by making adjustments to the print settings (color profiles, resolution, etc.).

• Print large-format graphics, banners, signage, and vehicle wraps on vinyl and other materials according to job specifications.
• Monitor printing progress to ensure quality control and timely delivery of projects.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on printers and related equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operation.

Vinyl Cutting & Finishing:

• Cut and trim printed vinyl materials using cutting plotters.
• Apply protective coatings or laminates as required for specific projects (e.g., UV coatings, gloss or matte finishes).

Quality Control & Troubleshooting:

• Inspect printed products for color accuracy, print quality, and any defects.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to printing machines, materials, or software and resolve them efficiently.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with design and production teams to meet client specifications and deadlines.
• Maintain clear communication regarding project timelines, material requirements, and any potential issues.

Inventory Management:

• Track and maintain stock levels of vinyl, ink, and other materials, ensuring they are always available for production.
• Keep a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety guidelines.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in printing or graphic design is a plus.
• Proven experience in operating and maintaining wide format vinyl printers and associated equipment.
• Strong knowledge of color management, RIP software (e.g., Onyx, VersaWorks), and vinyl cutting systems.
• Ability to read and interpret job orders, designs, and production specifications.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical ability to lift materials up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with vehicle wraps and large scale signage production.
• Knowledge of various printing substrates and laminates.
• Familiarity with industry-standard design software (Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, etc.).
